Programmee:Institutional Projects (Supreme Council for Science and Technological Development)
Code:11.817.08.03A
Execution period:2011 – 2014
Institutions:Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science
Project Leader:Ciubotaru Constantin
Participants: Yurie Rogozhin Programming System Laboratory, Information Systems
Field of application:Computer Science and Automation
Keywords:knowledge based society, intelligent systems, poorly structured domains, knowledge bases, knowledge acquisition, decision support systems, ultrasound diagnostics, computational linguistics, natural language processing, formal models of computation, P systems, distributed computing

Summary

Researches are planned on perspective technologies for the knowledge based society. There will be developed methods for knowledge acquisition, storage and representation, as well as knowledge management techniques. A unique hierarchical structure (extended ontology) of the domain of ultrasound examination will be created. There will be modernized and optimized new models of biomolecular computing (variants of membrane systems, networks of evolutionary processors, gene assembly), which will be applied for solution of intractable problems. There will be developed:

  1. execution environments based on formal models for solving problems on computational linguistics;
  2. technologies to facilitate adaptive human-computer interaction (intelligent interfaces) with application of natural language technology;
  3. principles and technologies for organization of the process of information storage, processing and visualization in large-scale distributed systems.
