Summary

The project aims to create the DML-md platform as an important step in the integration of mathematical research in Moldova and as a tool to join the pan-European platform Eu-DML (the European Digital Mathematics Library) developed by Portugal and supported by institutions in most EU countries. The aspirations of open science have been on the rise for over a decade. An example of real success and to follow is the Czech platform DML-cz. Thanks to the Scientific Library of the University of Gottingen (Germany) the well-known and appreciated series of collections of articles Математические исследования edited by the V.Andrunachievici Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMI VA), in collaboration with the publishing house ȘTIINȚA, 60 editions (of 123), are scanned (photographically) and made accesible to the scientists for free. However, a substantial effort remains to be made to digitize these works and supplement them with other valuable volumes omitted at that stage. The three SCOPUS journals from IMI VA (BASM, CSJM and QRS), which have been freely accessible (digitized) for over 10 years, and which are present in other international databases (MathNetRu, DOAJ and a.), we do not find in Eu-DML. The project aims to create the DML-md site (repository), enrolling the most valuable experts in the process of selecting sources and developing the framework of procedures and best practices for the field of mathematics and informatics in the Republic of Moldova. The project will be supported by a lot of unpaid effort and in the future it is desired that the development of the DML-md platform will be a component part of many of the institutional projects, grants within the State Program, bilateral projects, etc. It will be the basis for a new form of collaboration between experts in the field, young researchers and students in promoting and building the concept of open science. At the international level, a future collaboration with DML-ro will be initiated and within the country we will work with IBN IDSE, with the repositories of the universities from Moldova in the area of mathematics and informatics. The project comes to complete the integration of the Republic of Moldova in the European space of open science.
